Corrugated Roof Sheeting

Corrugated roof sheeting is Galvanized or Chromadek® steel sheeting roll formed into an S-rib profile. This wavy corrugated roof sheeting profile is the most well-known profiled sheeting globally, commonly used to cover residential roofs, carports, sheds, etc. It is impressively strong due to the many curves shaping this profile to ensure maximal rigidity and an excellent cover width. Corrugated sheeting has an effective cover of 762mm after overlapping and consists out of 10½ waves. This popular profile can be spun to up to between 1.1m and 1.5m internal span depending on the thickness of the material.

Corrugated is highly fashionable in South Africa, filling some of the country’s finest estates as the preferred roof covering for home owners. Because of its affordability, corrugated is also the first choice for roofing-solutions in low-cost housing projects, as well as home renovations.

Technistrut supply corrugated sheeting in either Chromadek®, Galvanized or ZincAL® at various thicknesses starting from 0.4mm to 0.5mm, 0.58mm and 0.8mm.  With the unique and complex design that gives the sheeting profile a male and female rib, our corrugated sheeting is definitely one of the most beautiful and water tight corrugated profiles in the market.

“Inverted Box Rib” or IBR

IBR is also aesthetically pleasing, thus the reason this profile is so popular in numerous upmarket estates. Homeowners are spoiled with choice when it comes to roof slopes, as IBR is ideal for roofs from 5° up to 50° roof slopes.Technistrut can supply Galvanized IBR in 0.4mm 0.5mm, 0.58mm and 0.8mm thicknesses. Chromadek® IBR is available in 0.5mm, 0.58mm and 0.8mm, with 14 standard colours to choose from.

Wide Span

Wide Span is a square fluted profile similar to IBR. Using the same width input coil, it has a better cover width than IBR, making it a more economical alternative to IBR. With the effective cover width of 762 mm, it covers an impressive 76 mm more than a standard 686 IBR profile.

Even though this product covers the same as a 762 Corrugated, Wide Span has much better spanning capabilities and can be used at much lower roof slopes than Corrugated, giving it a completely different aesthetical look as well.
